Anna's April Favourites!

Hello! It's been more than a week since we last posted on our blog, but don't think that we've given up! With GCSEs coming up, we've both just had more than a little bit on our minds. Anyway, April is almost over so I thought it only right to show some of my April favourites

Makeup

I had been searching for a highlighter for ages but couldn't justify spending £19.50 on Benefit High Beam. In the end I bought MAC's Pearl Creme Colour Base (which I also like). However, whilst browsing through some blog sales I spotted High Beam for £5! It had been used a few times but I was so happy to finally own it. With the sun trying to shine, this product is perfect and gives such a nice sheen.

My next favourite was in a previous haul and is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation in 51 Light Vanilla. I'm including this in my favourites because I never used to wear foundation at all, but I have enjoyed using this so much due to its super light coverage. Although it looks quite yellow, it blends so easily into my skin and just gives a lovely radiant finish (my eldest brother complimented on how radiant I looked when I wore this, cute).

An old favourite of mine is the Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. This was also in my last haul but I had owned this before as well. The reason I like this so much is because it is so easy to control and is black first time. It is also so cheap and definitely worth a try if you struggle with eyeliner.

2 coats of nail polish
My final makeup favourite is this Nail Paint by Barry M in Pink Flamingo 305. I've had this for a while but never really appreciated it. It just seemed like a 'meh' colour to me, but after wearing this I have realised how much I love it. Every time I glance at my nails or see me wearing this in a photo I always think how nice it looks. Such a classic and I can't wait to wear this all the time in the summer.

Music

As the people in my household probably already know, I have been obsessed with Paolo Nutini's song Candy. I also really love the version which was on The Voice, sung by Smith and Jones.

TV

I'm sure Olivia will join me in saying that Gossip Girl has to be in our favourites. We are both at the start of Season 4 and are racing through the series like there's no tomorrow. I can't wait to finish the show and I definitely recommend it if you're looking for something to watch! It is on Netflix or you can rent the DVDs by post on Lovefilm

Thank you for reading everyone! I would be so happy if you were to leave a comment telling us your favourites (or anything else) or you can contact us

Makeup Storage tips and tricks :)

Hi again, today I thought I would share a few storage ideas using really affordable bits and pieces! Hopefully it might give some of you some ideas or inspiration to use everyday items in different ways. Enjoy!

The first items I use quite a lot are mugs. They are so practical and look cute/quirky as well. Plus, you can get them for so cheap; the two in the right photo were from the 99p store! I use them to hold my brushes, lip glosses and hairbands, but the possibilities are endless.

The next thing, which goes hand in hand with the mugs, is rice. It is a super cheap alternative to beads used to stand makeup brushes upright. So easy to get hold of, and effective. Can't go wrong really!

For holding my nail polishes, I have this cutlery tray from Wilkinsons. I think they retail for about £2.50 and come in cream, black or red. Olivia and I both have these to store our beauty bits and they are just so handy!

Another really easy way to store makeup is in cute boxes. This one was actually what one of my christmas presents came in. Just little boxes and things like this come in really useful when you are trying to organize your makeup!

Reusing old packaging is a fab way to keep different products separated. For example, I have used empty cotton bud trays to store my lipsticks and eye products. Admittedly, this isn't the most glamorous or attractive storage tip, but nevertheless it is useful and great if you prefer spending money on products rather than storage for the products (like me)!

Not sure if this was helpful in any way but hopefully it gave you or someone else some kind of idea! For a quick chat or anything else, please feel free to comment below or contact Olivia and me.

Olivia's Night Routine

For today's post I thought I'd share with you my nightly/shower routine and the products that I use. Hope you enjoy!

I am always trying out new shampoos and conditioners because my hair isn't in the best condition and it can get very dry, especially with this rubbish, British weather. Thankfully, I find the Tresemme Moisture Rich Shampoo & Conditioner amazing and really does make a difference and leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny.

I was given this Possibility Raspberry Pavlova Shower Gel as a christmas present and as you can see I've almost finished it! As well as using it as a shower gel it works as a bubble bath too, which I love doing because of the amazing raspberry scent.

This was quite a recent buy and I have to say it has fast become my absolute favourite bath/shower product. The Soap&Glory Breakfast Scrub leaves my skin so soft and smelling absolutely divine, I can't help but sniff the tub whenever I can...

After a shower I love to use this Soap&Glory Body Butter which absorbs really quickly and doesn't leave me feeling 'sticky' for ages. It also has a really yummy/fresh scent, so definitely one of my favourite body moisturisers.

As you can see, I am a fan of the Soap&Glory products, and this Face Scrub is no exception. As well as exfoliating my skin, I usually leave it on for about 5 minutes and it acts as a face mask, overall this product does wonders for my skin and I love it!

I then wash my face with the Garnier Deep Clean Foam Wash, use the Garnier Comforting Toner and the Garnier Moisture Match, which were all featured in my Beauty Splurge Haul.

Then, of course I need to at least attempt to get rid of all those nasty spots, so I apply this Boots Tea Tree and Witchhazel Spot Stick, which i'm not sure helps an awful lot but owell, you have to at least try these things?!

And finally..thanks again to the freezing, British weather, my lips have been so dry recently, so I use the Lush Sweet Lips Scrub then apply Vaseline (can't beat the classic).

So, there's my nightly routine and all the products I use, hope you found this enjoyable and possibly even useful. Anyway, if you want to ask for more details on any of these products or just want to chat, contact Anna or I or just leave a comment.
